POPULAR American talk show host Oprah Winfrey was recently invited by Stanford University, to address nearly 4,700 students, graduating in 2008.

Oprah’s internationally-acclaimed’s The Oprah Winfrey Show, has earned her multiple Emmy Awards and is the highest-rated talk show in the history of television. She’s also an Academy Award-nominated actress (for her role in the film The Colour Purple), book critic and magazine publisher.

In a poignant, witty speech delivered by Oprah at Stanford University, she drew inspiration from her own mistakes, and advised students to trust and follow their instinct. Here is the transcript of her speech, which featured learnings from her own career:
